Case Study · Enterprise data & intelligence platform
Company: A Big Four professional-services firm
Presented anonymously to respect confidentiality. Company name, proprietary screens, and internal identifiers have been removed; scope, role, and outcomes are unchanged.
What I owned: Vision · UX · Self-serve product · Analytics & insight reporting
The firm's relationship intelligence, Voice-of-Client feedback, market data, trends, and alliance insight, lived in gated, legacy systems. The data existed, but reaching it meant submitting a request and waiting days for a manually compiled report.
For the senior partners, leaders, and their teams who relied on it most, there was no way to explore that intelligence directly, in the moment a decision called for it.
The original ask was modest: a basic internal page to take our program's intakes and communicate its mandate, a simple front-facing site.
I proposed something more ambitious: to democratize the firm's intelligence nationally. Not an internal page, but a self-serve product that gave every leader direct, 24/7 access to the firm's collective intelligence, so they could make more informed decisions for clients and proposals, bring their teams along with them, and reclaim the time and capacity the old manual process had been quietly costing.
Before
After
From a gated request-and-wait process to intelligence any leader could reach themselves.
I drove this end to end. I ran the discovery and visioning workshops with senior leaders and partners, and used them to build alignment around a bolder direction than the original brief. From there I led a cross-functional team of four through design, build, QA, and launch.
I made a deliberate call to build it fully self-serve, with open access to business, industry, and market data across the country. It was the harder path. Keeping that data current meant standing up quarterly updates that depended on several teams outside my own. Rather than scope the ambition down, I established a cross-functional committee to own the data together, so the experience stayed fresh and trustworthy without a manual bottleneck.
It was the first tool of its kind at the firm.
Leaders came in numbers to share their gratitude, and their disbelief. For the first time, they could pull their own Net Promoter Score, Client Experience Index, and Client Value Index, explore market data, and understand the serviceable addressable market across the country, directly and on demand, refreshed every quarter.
Some of this work is held under confidentiality. I'd be glad to walk you through more in conversation.
